So... since I have spent months whining and all of you wonderful ladies have been so supportive... I think I should tell you all how happy I am!
I am finally starting to feel better! I felt a lot better right after having her... and it just gets more wonderful every day! My feet don't hurt anymore... my back is getting closer to how it was pre-pregnancy... my tummy feels great... cramps are almost gone after MONTHS of having them...my headaches are gone (for the most part... haha)... I can actually get comfy now... bottom line... I feel great!
My kids...
Michael: He LOVES his littlest sister so much... he giggles at the faces she makes... he hurries up to get ready for school so he can spend some time holding her and looking at her before he has to catch the bus... his attitude has improved (probably because mine has... haha)... he's helpful (for the most part) and very affectionate with all 3 of the ladies in his life.
Ariannah: She is adjusting really well! I was a little nervous because she is very strong willed and an attention hog and has always been a little difficult to deal with (since day 1... hehe). BUT... she is great! She is very helpful... always says how cute Kara is... she's always checkin up on me... "is kara's diaper okay?" "have you cleaned her belly button yet?" "is kara getting hungry mom?"... and it's like that all day... always making sure i haven't forgotten anything... it's adorable! And she's getting better at waiting her turn too :)
Kara: Wow... so perfect. She rarely cries... the only time she does is if she's hungry and I didn't notice the other clues (grunting, rooting, wiggling, etc) because I was busy with something else... OR... when she is naked or I am wiping her bottom (she hates the cold feeling). Other than that... I haven't seen her cry yet! We co-sleep because it just seems to work so good with her. During the day she will nap in her bassinet so I can get stuff done, but at night... I don't know if it is the quiet or the dark that bothers her, but she does not like that darn bassinet! ;) So she sleeps with us and only wakes up ONE time in the night and has done that since last Thursday night! It's amazing! When she is awake... she is sooooo bright eyed and alert... she already follows noises with her head/eyes. She makes the funniest little faces and I just love watching her. When she is sleeping... she sleeps through anything... the dog, the other kids, the vacuum... everything!
Now for my husband! He is wonderful with her as I knew he would be. He was and still is great with the other two and he is with her too. I will probably get scolded for this, but I had a photo gig on Sunday already. A family of 4... all adults... and in a town about 15-20min from where i live. So we went there as a family because it is a beautiful town and has a nice park. Brad took all 3 of the kids to the park while I did my photo shoot and everything went just fine! I haven't even braved taking all 3 kids somewhere by myself! GO BRAD! haha. He is such a perfect husband.... (well as perfect as they come anyways... lmao). He is always telling me how much he loves me and how great I am looking... and even though I am feeling better, he is still helping out so much even though he is back to work.
I am one lucky woman! I just hope I deserve all this! I am so unbelievably happy right now and I hope this feeling stays for a long time! I do have lots of catching up to do with a lot of things (sleep from the last few months of pregnancy... picture orders from before kara... housework... organizing, etc)... but it's all worth it! The rest will come... patience is a virtue, right? ;) They're only little once... and I intend to fully enjoy this time in our lives! I'm soakin' it in ladies!
I wish the same happiness onto all of you and I hope you are all having a good week!
Love and hugs! xoxo, Liz
