Let's see...Business is good. We had originally planned on taking 30 days to set up the books, set up business insurance, get uniforms, buy and paint some vehicles, accumulate materials and equipment, train an employee or two, etc. Ya know, get all our ducks in a row.
Well, it didn't work out that way...we had two remodel jobs before we even got the loan. So we jumped right in! We brought a young guy over from his last job and got started. Hubby on one job, the young guy and my dad on the other job. The young guy and my dad were breaking up a concrete driveway that we are replacing. The young guy was moving the jackhammer to a new section and accidentally set it on his foot. He was trying to pick it up and hit the switch. He Jackhammered His Big Toe! He was bleeding everywhere. At the hospital, they removed his dangling toenail, x-rayed his foot and found that he had broken the tip of his big toe bone OFF. Needless to say, he is off until mid November. Thank Goodness we had our Workers Comp Insurnace set up before we sent the guys out!
(to be continued, the business line is ringing :)
