Yesterday I cried when I held her for the first time.

Yesterday I celebrated her first smile, first teeth, first steps, first words.

Yesterday I walked her to school for the first day of Kindergarten and cried all the way home.

Yesterday I snuck tooth fairy money under her pillow.

Yesterday I taught her how to tie her shoes and ride a bike.

Yesterday I chased away the monsters in her closet.

Yesterday I applauded her cello performances and cheered at her football games.

Yesterday she rode her first rollercoaster.

Yesterday I held her while she cried for the loss of a loved one.

Yesterday she skipped school for the first time.

Yesterday she rode in a racecar.

Yesterday I cheered her drama performance.

Yesterday she started high school.

All these moments and more seem like only yesterday.  I can't believe how it can get away from you.

Today, she went to her first homecoming dance.

Today I am awestruck at the wonderful, beautiful lady she is.

Oh boy...do I know what you mean. This is such a wonderful, perfect post!

Yesterday I became a parent...today I am a grandparent.

This teared me up.  I feel the same way.......  I have a 13 yr old daughter that seems more like a 16 yr old and she's transformed before my eyes!

thanks for the thoughts....
