Her First Ballet

My daughter is in her second year of ballet and absolutely loves to dance.  Last month her teacher announced that The Columbia City Ballet Company was coming into town for one day only to hold auditions.  We went to the auditions not knowing what to expect since it was her first.  Well she did well.  At the end of the audition we were advised by the director that notice would be sent via mail as to those that were casted and their role.   Well, I am pleased to announce that my baby girl will be in the Nutcracker this holiday season as a Cherub!  She received her letter in the mail and begins rehearsal this weekend!  What an awesome opportunity to dance amongst some of the finest at 5 years old!

Congrats!!  How exciting is that?  It's one thing to see your child perform in a school play, but this is big for a 5 year old and for you.

     How wonderful!!!!! I studied ballet for 11 years and was lucky enough to be chosen to perform in the operetta "The Magic Flute" but I was much older than 5.This performance will be a forever memory for your little girl.I absolutely love "The Nutcracker Ballet",in fact I have it on a vcr tape and watch it every Christmas season.
