Well, it is official!
Mike and I finally talked things through the way that I had wanted. At first, he didn’t really say much (never really does) and I was looking for a true opinion to having another baby. We talked it over the other night and decided that we are finally throwing away the birth control pills. We are really hoping that it will not take months (18 to be exact) as it did when we were trying for Conner. Hopefully, we can do this on our own too (without those annoying fertility pills). So, we’re counting down the days until we start charting again.
The only difficult part is that now that we’ve decided to try for another baby – Mike comes up with a ton of work – which means he’ll be out of town, a lot for the next few months. Talk about needing to have perfect timing!
Wish us luck and baby dust to all who wish with us! I’ll keep you all updated when we hear the good news!

Hey there... I visited your page after reading your post about birth control pills etc. I was just curious to see how long it took you to conceive your first child due to the PCOS and whether you had to use Clomid or anything. We're still trying for number one. Granted, it's only been 7 months, but I already knew that I had PCOS and figured it would take awhile. I'm on my second round of Clomid (which makes it really hard to be a nice person!) and am hoping something works soon. I am prepared for the worst and I don't like thinking about it.
I wish you luck on your TTC journey! I know how hard it can be having PCOS. Right now I'm on 1500mg/day of Metformin, plus the Clomid second round. My doctor did say that exercise and a diet lower in carbohydrates (or at least cut out the bad ones) can help control this. A great site to check out is www.soulcysters.com. They have tons of stuff on there for women with PCOS.
