Happy Halloween Everyone! Hope your night went well. Our halloween began last week at Party City, K-La needed a costume for a school dance that was the next day so we ran over to Party City (one of my least favorite stores). The lines were long, the store was crowded and the employees are confused. I figured we should get N8n a costume since we were there.
So we are standing in front of the Wall-O-Costumes, K-La picks out a couple she likes and goes to wait for the employees to get them. Now I am left standing with a 3 yo, grilling him about what he wants to be for halloween. Do you think he is interested? Um, NO! All he wants to do is touch every single bloody rat and sword and gun in the whole store.
"Do you want to be a ninja?" "hey mom, look at this skeleton" "Do you want to be a fireman or a policeman?" "Moooooom, can I have this sword" "Do you want to be a doctor? That would be fun" "Can we take this mouse with blood to our house?" Blah, blah, blah...I gave up. K-La didn't like any of the costumes that she picked out and decided to go as a vampire and was picking out accessories.
We walked up another isle and there was a simple costume on the shelf. I had to drag N8n away from the gun section and make him try it on. Of course, it was too big, but it was on sale and he could wear it in the future and it is pretty versitle. But this boy almost started crying cause he didn't want to try it on. In this same isle, K-La found some horn rimmed glasses and decided that she didn't want to be a vampire anymore now she wanted the poodle skirt and glasses for the 50's style (I think). So we gather up the appropriate accessories and head for the check out. THANK GOD!
Here's K-La:

Now tonight we get ready to go out and N8n wants nothing to do with getting his costume on, but finally he gives in and puts it on......

Well, needless to say, the moustache and eyebrows didn't last long....so mom and dad went to work...

Not bad, Huh? Here's my handsome Muscle Man!!!! I told the adults that he was dressed as his dad, LOL!

K-La liked my makeup so much that she wanted to wear black eyeshadow when she passed out candy with my dad. But tonight I realized that she is not gonna wear make-up until she is 18yo! She looks So Grown with makeup (and with out)!

Oh, here's a picture of both of us...

When we got home, I put N8n in the bathtub (preschool tomorrow). I washed his face off and said "there's my handsome N8n" he said "I don't want to be N8n, I want to be a Muscle Man" Ha, Ha and Happy Halloween
