I think that retail chains are their own worst enemy.  Everyone has to be the first to do everything, and I find myself trying to keep up with that in my home business.

I never really thought about it before until we started our Halloween costumes.  When I started talking about our promotion to my cusomers (on Sept 1) many of them had already pruchased their children's costumes.  Even though our proceeds were going to a great charity, people were more interested in just getting something and being done with it.

I find myself behind the eight ball once again with the upcoming Holidays.  I have been making a real efffort to stay as far away as I can from WalMart, so I am buying most of my gifts this year from other women in business.

Nov. 1, 2007 at 9:20 AM first i think that halloween was just over a few hours ago and there are already christmas decorations up. what about thanksgiving??????????? i think this year i am going to do most of my shopping online and stay away from the big stores.

Nov. 1, 2007 at 9:18 PM I am going to try to order a lot of my stuff through direct sales; it is so much more convenient and a lot more enjoyable than going to the mall. Also, it feels good to know the person who is benefiting from your shopping.
