I had to 2 c-sections and I didn't have a problem with either one. You do what you feel you should do. Do what you think is best for you and your daughter.
I didn't think twice about not having a c-section with my 2nd. For me the 2nd one was so much more easy than the first, but I didn't have time to think about anything. Chase was a sick baby in the beginning. I think that is why it made it easier on me, because I was worried about him and didn't take time to think about me.
You do what is best for you honey. Take care.
Okay- The weight first, it isn't a big deal- I LOST 20 lbs during my pregnancy, gained a little at the very end and still had a 6lb4oz baby, as long as she is gaining it is no big deal, she'll take what she needs from you so don't worry.
As for turning, he could turn her and she could still turn back, some babies don't turn till the very end, you could take it as a good sign because that means you should make it further than you did last pregnancy.
And the c-section-My son was an emergency C and it was traumatic for me, I had a panic attact in the birthing room when they told me, so in order to avoid that next time around I will be having a c-section planned. If you are at risk for any complications, etc, the dr.s are going to be more likely to give you one when you get there anyway so why not just plan it and be prepared. I wanted to go natural and it didn't happend and it wasn't the end of the world. I now believe that how they come into the world dosen't matter as long as they are safe and healthy and we make it out okay as well. C sectiions are so standard now that I don't think you need to worry about that either. Talk more to your dr. at your next visit and I'm sure you will come to whatever decision is best for you and the baby. Best of luck.
First- I have not heard of multiple c-sections being risky as oppossed to trying for a VBAC, so I wouldn't let that worry you.
Second- The baby can flip ANYTIME. I had a friend whose baby turned the wrong way 2 days before her due date. She had to go C-Section.
Third- If you try for VBAC but prepare yourself that sometimes things don't go as planned and you might have to go C-section (emergency... or otherwise) then you'll be fine. I think mentally preparing for a change of plans is important b/c you have to remember... it is mostly out of your control. (Unfortunately) The baby's position will determine a lot of things for you.
Best of luck to you both!
