HI Everyone I just wanted to update you all on how little aryanna is doing.  She is doing fine.  I am measuring at 34 weeks. Which I will be sunday.  So we are about right on.  But I have not gained anymore weight again.  Which is great.  I have been the same weight for the last 4 appointments.  I will go back in 2 weeks then I will go weekly.  Wow I cant get over how fast it is flying.  We just need to keep her in for 1 more week then i will be able to have here at our hospital at home instead of going 2 hours away.  So please keep us in your prayers.  But he wants me to consider a c-section.  He told me to come home and talk to dh about it.  I really want to try and have her natural.  I wanted to have aj that way but he turned out to be an Emergency C-section.  So I am confused.  What would you all do?  She still has not turned.  She is sideways like she laying on the beach instead of up and down.  He told me if we consider a C-section he could do it the 10th or the 11th.  I am just not sure what to do.  I dont want anything to go wrong during regular birth and them have to rush me into the OR for a C-section.  so please give me some good sound advice ladies.  Beause I am so confused.  I told him right now it is really up to Aryanna on which way she decided to be at that time.  But dont most babies turn bye now?  I know I only got to 32 weeks with aj and he never turned that is why I had to have a c-section.  But Dr. thinks you can try to turn her at the next visit but he cant say for sure it it will work.  So I dont know what to do.  I want to do what is best for Aryanna and me.  Is it real safe to have a repeat C-section.  I heard you chances of something going wrong increase with each one.  So what would you all do.  And the weight has me concerned.  Why I am not gaining if the baby is.  Can she be taking it off of me.  I asked them about it and they did not seem concered.  They actually said it was great.  Just kinda seems weird to me.  I also asked him about the pressure at night.  I get alot of pain when I roll at night in the private place and he said that is normal.  he told me to Motrin or something a couple times a week but I dont want to take anything that can hurt the baby so I guess I just suffer on like I have been.  Since there is nothing that can help.  I have tons of pillows on my bed already.  And my lower back is killing me all the time.  So as you can I super glad that everything is ok with Aryanna but I amjust ready for all the pressure and pain to be away.  so please give me your honest opinions on what you all would do.  Thanks so much.  Any questions that i did not cover please ask and  I will answer them.  I dont think I forgot anything.  Take care mommies and thanks ahead of time.

Nov. 1, 2007 at 3:37 PM If she does turn, go for a VBAC. I did, and I'm so glad! Sam didn't "flip" until the last couple of weeks, either, but if he hadn't, I was going to opt for the c-section. I don't like some of the stories I've heard about when doctors try to turn kids who are breech. Plus, there's always a good chance they'll flip right back to where they were.

Nov. 1, 2007 at 6:34 PM I am having the same struggle deciding which way to go. Not because she is turned a certain way, but just because I really wanted to try VBAC. After going over all the risks that are included in both I decided to go repeat c-section. I only have community hospitals around me, so if anything were to go wrong, they would have to airlift us out.... But if you have the facilities to do VBAC, and really feel there are no major risks, then I would wait up until the last possible moment to decide on which way to go to see if she turns. My SIL wanted a VBAC and so when she went into labor the baby was still head up. They did a manual turn ( not sure of the official term) but they were able to turn the baby from the outside. I know she was in a lot of pain, but she was able to have a successful VBAC. Plus, lots of babies turn right before birth... just way out your risks, and choose whats right for you! Good luck!

I had to 2 c-sections and I didn't have a problem with either one. You do what you feel you should do. Do  what you think is best for you and your daughter.

I didn't think twice about not having a c-section with my 2nd. For me the 2nd one was so much more easy than the first, but I didn't have time to think about anything. Chase was a sick baby in the beginning. I think  that is why it made it easier on me, because I was worried about him and didn't take time to think about me.

You do what is best for you honey. Take care.

Okay- The weight first, it isn't a big deal- I LOST 20 lbs during my pregnancy, gained a little at the very end and still had a 6lb4oz baby, as long as she is gaining it is no big deal, she'll take what she needs from you so don't worry.

As for turning, he could turn her and she could still turn back, some babies don't turn till the very end, you could take it as a good sign because that means you should make it further than you did last pregnancy.

And the c-section-My son was an emergency C and it was traumatic for me, I had a panic attact in the birthing room when they told me, so in order to avoid that next time around I will be having a c-section planned.  If you are at risk for any complications, etc, the dr.s are going to be more likely to give you one when you get there anyway so why not just plan it and be prepared.  I wanted to go natural and it didn't happend and it wasn't the end of the world.  I now believe that how they come into the world dosen't matter as long as they are safe and healthy and we make it out okay as well.  C sectiions are so standard now that I don't think you need to worry about that either.  Talk more to your dr. at your next visit and I'm sure you will come to whatever decision is best for you and the baby.  Best of luck.

First- I have not heard of multiple c-sections being risky as oppossed to trying for a VBAC, so I wouldn't let that worry you.

Second- The baby can flip ANYTIME.  I had a friend whose baby turned the wrong way 2 days before her due date.  She had to go C-Section.

Third- If you try for VBAC but prepare yourself that sometimes things don't go as planned and you might have to go C-section (emergency... or otherwise) then you'll be fine.   I think mentally preparing for a change of plans is important b/c you have to remember... it is mostly out of your control.  (Unfortunately)  The baby's position will determine a lot of things for you.

Best of luck to you both!
