What was the greatest lenght you went to so you can get your child that perfect gift they were so expecting?
This is my first year having to actually "chase" that phantom gift! I have called every walmart (have gift cards!!) to find a pink Nintendo DS Lite. She didnt tell me about this until last week. Nevermind she has a perfectly functional Game Boy Advance.....My calling radius is now up to 100 mi and no DS in sight. I have come up with the idea of printing a certificate out good for one pink DS when the Elves finish production. She's 8 so its a long shot!

Last year the only thing my daughter wanted from Santa was Floam. I waited until the last minute...I mean, it's Floam. At first I told her you could only buy it on tv, so I didn't think Santa would be able to get it for her and she said "no mom, Walgreen's has it too." So, being the brilliant mother I am and not believing my 6 year old, I called Walgreen's first and was told they carry it. I grabbed my purse and went off to Walgreens, I believe it was the 23rd or so, well of course they were out...it's Floam, right? I had the cashier call another store and I spoke to the lady and off she went to check. She came back a couple moments later and told me they had some. I thought GREAT! and raced down the road. Well, I went to the toy aisle, and no Floam. I saw an employee and told her I was looking for their floam. She said, "I'm sorry we're out." I said, "I just called less than 10 minutes ago and the lady checked and told me you had some." Well, this older employee got this fit to be tied look on her face and said "I was up there when you called and I am telling you right now she never left her register." With her undies in a bunch, she said "let's see what we can find" and she starts looking behind puzzles and things. I'm amused, annoyed and confused at this point when she explains "when we can't find where something goes we usually just toss it behind something else." So, I join her looking behind other toys and things. Suddenly I hear "Got it!" and she is holding a package of purple floam. I'm thrilled (ticked at the first lady though) and go to pay. Ecstatic about my purchase, I can't wait until morning. Shaena opens her floam and is tickled pink. It is now one year later and every store has floam and we have an unopened package ourselves sitting on the top of the fridge! So what did my daughter want this year???
MORE FLOAM!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it?
