He started vomiting this afternoon, and choking at the same time. Could not breathe at all. I took him upstairs and tried the steam method, which did not work. His face as of this moment is nothing but busted capillaries (the doc said it looked like someone had been choking him). So, I took his temp...102.9 and rising when the timer went off on the thermometer. So, around 6...me and him headed out to the ER. He was a trooper. They had to do blood work on him and he watched them put the needle in and thought it was so cool to see his blood in the line...um, ew! Then, he got to ride in the wheel chair to get x-rays of his lungs.
Long story short, he has the croup and has been put on steroids for the next 3 days. He's freaking out because I told him there is a chance that he will not be going to school tomorrow and he doesn't want to miss any days this year so he can get a candy necklace at the end of the year. I told him I would buy him one if he misses tomorrow.
So, both of the boys are crashed downstairs. Ray is at work, and so he is not here to carry them up. I guess I will be crashing on the livingroom floor tonite! I don't care, really. Right now, I feel better with Matthew sleeping close to me so I can hear him.
Now, I have to throw Sarah's gym clothes into the wash and then I am crashing...
Have one!
