I'm an OFFICIAL Irish Citizen!

Well, I'm FINALLY on paper what I've felt I was in my heart my entire life.... An Irish Citizen!! I put in my application over two years ago to apply for naturalization through post nuptual agreement and the paperwork has all gone through and I got my certificate of naturalization Monday!!! They even back dated it to when I originally sent in my paperwork on Nov 8th 2005, so I've actually been an Irish citizen for the past two years..... :P

I'm just so happy that I can honestly say that Ireland is my (adopted) home now! My whole life I've been drawn to Ireland, even from a very young age. I guess there was a reason my parents named me "Tara". Now I can finally wear my "Kiss me I'm Irish" T-shirt I've been saving all this time and really mean it!!!!

Feb. 2, 2008 at 1:20 AM I'm so jealous!  One of my lifetime goals has always been to visit Ireland.  My family is Irish and it's just been a dream of mine to travel to Ireland.  I'm hoping to go when the kids are a bit older, that way they will be able to experience and enjoy it as well.
