I work part time as a manager of a vet hospital.  After my son was born, I wasn't going to go back, but my boss wanted me back and told me to bring my son with me to work.  I work 2 days a week when our clinic isn't seeing appointment, just surgeries.  Well my boss called me in today and said some people are complaining about who I hire  and how I hire, they think they should have input and most of all my son being there.  I really don't give a dam about what they think about who I hire, that's between me and my boss. But this bull crap about my son pissed me off to all ends of the earth.  They claim they have to watch out for him and that isn't part of there job and that his fussing interrupts there job sometimes. First of all they never have to watch my son, I'm always around.  I've never asked them to watch my son. (I'm very conscious about this every since I started, I never wanted that to be a issue).  Some of the girls play with him, but I don't make them, they actually sometimes seek him out.  Yes his 18 month and very curious and gets into things sometimes, I don't kid myself about that, but I watch him and pick up after him so no one else has too.  Also this crap about his fussing,I want to know how that effects them, most of the time they are either in the surgery area (were I don't let my son go without him in my arms and I don't take him back there crying because I don't want him to disturb the animals) or they are bullshiting up front.  Sorry if my son interfers with there bull shiting!!!!!!  That's the short verison of the whole thing..................I can't believe this crap because that's what it is!!!!!  I so ready to quite, I don't need this stress or aggravation!

Nov. 12, 2007 at 10:17 AM That just sucks. If your boss was the one who told you to bring Sam, they need to chill. I hope they didnt just start yelling things at you. But really, your boss felt that you were a valuable and needed person and knows you are responsible otherwise I am sure he would have never suggested it to you to bring Sam. Anyway, I totally would be upset about those other folks too and I hope things work out for the best for both sides. You dont need to be around people who are being lame and Sam doesnt need to be picked on either by two faced liars. We'll talk.

Nov. 15, 2007 at 3:00 PM I agree with Neely. Your boss is the one who told you to bring your son. Its crap that the other people are trying to get you in trouble. Do you get paid more or something? Maybe they are jealous of you....Good Luck with it...And if you can afford to stay home, I'd tell you boss that he can keep his job.....
