Ok mom's, I have a question. U know how most kids have a security blanket or stufed animal, or pasifier or something thet they just wont let go of, right? Ok well, my 2 year old son has a blanket thet he loves. He takes it everywhere and it is falling apart. So I have been thinking for a while now to get rid of it. And last night he forgot it at my friends house down the street. I noticed it was gone b4 he did and by the time I did notice it was gone it was to laite to call my friend and go get it so I figured he would go with out it. Well as the night whent on he only asked for it twice last night and only for like 30 seconds. It didnt seem to be a big deal for him. I was happy. Then I was on the computer and he whent and craweld into my bed and I asked him if he was sleepy and he said yes. So I tucked him in and he fell asleep in my bed. I figured I would let him sleep with me since he was probly going to wake up in the midel of the night wanting his blanky. But not one word from him last night. Then I called my friend thismorning but she wasnt home but her hubby was so I asked him If I could come get it. So I asked him to put it in 2 plastice bags and tie it so my son couldnt see it. Then I got it home and just put it in the closet. Then it came to nap time. I put him in his bed and he cryed for his blanky for like 3 minuts tops. Then he was fast asleep. Im shocked. But for some reason after he was done crying I started crying. What the heck for. I have no idea. Please if anyone knows y the heck I would be crying over that please let me know. Thanx

My 4 year old still has a blankie. It was originally my 8 years old who passed it on when she was 5. It was easy to get her to pass it on because it was always close & in her sight.

Now i have a 6 month old & my 4 year old is already talking about giving it to her.  All of my girls love blankies, but this blue fleece one is always been THE ONE! It is getting thin & we have had to make a few repairs (when the stitching starts to come out), but It is something I would love to hold onto forever. It as probably been washed over 1000 times, but it is part of the family.
