Home schooling....

I know that since Kairi is only 2 months we don't officially have to worry about school yet, but there's something James and I have been discussing since even before she was born. We haven't decided if we want to home school her or not. I'm leaning more towards yes, he's leaning more towards no so it leaves us pretty much in the middle. Neither one of us is set in our minds either way, we just both have our concerns. I hear about all the stuff that goes on in the schools these days and I know that none of my teachers really cared very much about teaching, so I would like to atleast seriously consider it. James on the other hand is concerned about her not being social if we home school her. I get where he's coming from and he gets where I'm coming from so this isn't anything we fight over, and although it is still early, I would like to find out as much information as early as possible so this decision doesn't wait until the time comes to register her for school. I have heard that there are groups you can join that put you with other home school moms and you set up field trips and outings and stuff so that the kids to get socialized, but I was wondering how reliable my source on that was. If any of you have heard about or even used a group or program like this please let me know.

Nov. 11, 2007 at 6:09 AM check online for homeschool groups in your area.  in our homeschool group, we have moms with kids as young as 3 or 4 who meet up for field trips, playdates, etc.
