Hello everyone!  I am the owner of a nanny training and placement agency in Southwest Florida.  I have owned an agency for over 7 years, and my personal background is as a preschool/ kindergarten teacher.  I am in the process of developing a 40 (possibly longer) training curriculum.  Currently, the field is not regulated, however all organizations are trying to change that.  In order to call yourself a "professional nanny" and to be treated and compensated as such, nannies are required to have child development classes and numerous other things.  My question to everyone out there is this,"if you have an interest in working with children, and could be making more money than most teachers, would you be willing to enroll in this type class?  It will be certified by a local community college.

Currently, highly trained and experienced nannies working through my agency are earning an average of $800 weekly.  Benefits for full time positions are included.  While $800 is the average, I have placed several nannies in positions earning in excess of $85,000 plus a car, health insurance, travel, and even her own condo.  Please drop me a line if you would consider employment in this field.  FYI- Nannies are NOT supposed to do household chores or cleaning.  They are responsible for the meal preparation for children and maintaining their things.
