Let's face it...most men collect and hold onto stuff we'd rather not show up inside our homes unless it is located in "their" designated area...LOL

The other week I was telling my husband that he's been in his room for a LONG time and his response is..."would you rather me be in here or out there?" so of course I had to close my mouth...LOL

Here's my husband's...located in our backyard shed...As an electrician, he's even got rope lights inside and like 3 sources of lights! LOL I think for Christmas I'm buying him a "bathroom" heater that installs on the wall for his "man room".

Look...he loves us! He's got a pic of the kids and I (yes I take the majority..BETTER! LOL) up in his room! ;-)

Now if I had the right home and money, I'd actually have LOTS of fun creating a fun "gaming/billiard/bar" room for him (and me! LOL) But I highly doubt his knicknacks would follow...LOL

Nov. 14, 2007 at 4:15 PM This is so true and funny. My husband has the basement. I call it Man Land. The bonus is that's where the wood stove is, so he is right there to tend to the fire. I brought a wreath down one time and hung it at the bottom of the stairs, I thought that was still community property. The wreath came flying back up the stairs in less then 2 minutes. He's lucky though, my brother-in-law has man land in the garage and they live in upstate NY-pretty frigid in the winter. He says it keeps his beer cold and he doesn't have to walk all the way in to the house to get it out of the fridge. MEN, HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Nov. 14, 2007 at 5:33 PM my dh has 3, i said 3, shops or man rooms.  one is in our carport which used to be the laundry room.  so now it has an extra fridge, the hot water heater and plenty of shelves for stuff.  and, oh yeah, the huge fuse box is out there too.  actually there are 2 of those.  the second "man room" is connected to the back of our house and looks like part of the house from the outside because it has vinyl siding and the roof line is the same.  now this one was where he "worked on things" while he watched ball games.  did i ever tell you he is an engineer for a tv station?  anyway, except for the counter space with the wall to wall mirror and the walls having those holes in them so he can hang things, the rest of the room is filled with my stuff that needs to be weeded out and our christmas decorations.  now the third "man room" is what i call the shed which is not connected to the house but still has the same vinyl siding to match the house.  this is where the lawn mower, power tools, and the generator (in case the electricity goes out) are kept.  none of my stuff goes in there, but i've caught him trying to move things into it.  that particular "man room" makes everything smell like gasoline.  so, i guess what i'm trying to say is that he has 3 rooms to put his "stuff" in and god forbid if i need to put anything into one of them without him complaining.  this is an on going grumble between us.
