Oh what a night!!!

So, American Idol was interrupted tonight by some coughing and crying from my son's room. I knew he was getting a cold from his runny nose and he's been so fussy from teething. Now he has croup too. The shower...didn't work. Standing outside...didn't work. Driving around with the windows cracked from 40 minutes...seems to have worked. It was my last attempt before taking him to the ER. We'll see how long he sleep with the cool humidifier. we still may end up making the trip. I would love to try and sleep for a few minutes only now I'm caffinated from my McDonald's stop and my hubby is fast asleep. I feel so bad for my son...he can't breathe through his nose, now he can't breathe period, and he's getting 3 teeth right now. Oh what a night!!! 

Update - So we ended up at the ER at 3am. He had a fever, gave him a steriod shot and breathing treatment. It seems to help...for a little while. He slept from 4:45 until 6:20...6:20 until 8:20 and now he's up coughing again. Baby Einstein is the cure right now and hopefully he'll eat some breakfast! (BTW, the ER kept talking to us like we were stupid. Yes, it's the first time he's had croup. I had it many times as a child, I remember it and I know what it is. I explored everything I could do at home and nothing worked which is why we ended up in the ER. Since I told them this...please stop telling me all of the stuff I "should try next time" before coming to the ER...I DID IT ALL!!!!!)

Feb. 21, 2007 at 3:37 AM ohh man sweety goodluck u should  get the bugger sucker and  they sailen nose drops and   vicks   for th ebathtub   but  wne u use vicks make sue its verry warm in the room and he isnt exposed to cold since it open the air way it can cause namonia to have a child  who has vicks on him to be in teh cold or to have  wind blowing in his face  good luck hope ur baby feels better
