I'm sorry I haven't been on here. For the past few months I've felt so bad, I just haven't gotten on the computer all that much. I'm going to try my best to come on here at least once weekly but I can't promise you all that.
This is the reason I've been so sick -
I found out a couple of weeks ago that I have stomach cancer. I had been taking it pretty good until yesterday then it just hit me. I felt like a gust of wind of emotions knock me for a loop. But after some good convos with some friends around 4AM today, I'm doing much better.
I'm not ever going to be able to get the gastric bypass. Where the cancer is located is in the area where the gastric bypass would have taken place. The cancer is sealed up in my stomach, in the antrum. I don't know how it's sealed or why it's sealed but that's what the biopsies have told my gastroenterologist doctor. Since the cancer is sealed up I'm not going to have to have chemo or radiation right now. He did give me an option of going in, taking out that area of my stomach and putting in a pig's stomach. I'm like "Um, no, I prefer my own organs, thank you." but I may have to as a last resort. He did state that might not have to happen for another few years though, if at all.
Don't get bummed out about me. Except for not being able to have chocolate anymore and not getting the gastric bypass done, I'm doing fine. I'm still not sure how I'm going to live without chocolate though.
An update on my daughter Megan. We found out she's got junior rheumatoid arthoritis in the soft tissues of her back. Plus she's had her first love and just this week, her first heartbreak. And her grades have been suffering badly since the beginning of school. Except for praying daily, I don't know what else to do for my child.
