Of Today and This Week

My church's Sunday school starts at 9:15AM. We were a bit late getting there. It was just mom and me today. Church was really exciting. Our associate pastor, Pastor Kevin Atkinson preached. It was almost completely audience/congregation interactions. In the bulletin there was a slip of paper with lines to ask the pastor anything about the Bible, Christianity, or spiritual. I asked the question "How can a person have faith and not hope or hope and not faith?" which Pastor Kevin answered that was a tough question and one he'll have to ponder on. It had an area for your name and number. But I'm sure when I see him Tuesday night that we'll discuss it more in detail then.

After church mom and I went to their house on the corner of Mill and Mitchell. We picked dad up then went and ate at KFC. We only eat there about once a month.

It's been overcast all day today. It's been raining a tiny bit at night. Just enough to dampen the ground but dries out by late morning. I figure with the heaviness of the air that it would have stormed by now. But it's still dry outside. After having a week of freeze warnings during the night and nippy air during the day, today was quite warm. It was in the high 60's. Tomorrow is suppose to be 74 degrees. Sounds like stormy weather ahead to me.

This Thanksgiving my mom's side of the family is doing things a bit differently. I'm all about different and am excited about Thursday. My cousin, Katrina, who is 17 years old, works at a restaurant that will be opened Thursday. It is a catfish restaurant but I've been told it's kind of like Ryan's. Which is o.k. to me. Well, Katrina will be working there so Uncle David and Aunt Linda decided to just have Thanksgiving at the restaurant. He expressed the idea to mom and she thinks it's wonderful too. That way none of us have to cook and clean. Plus we don't have to try to fit everyone into a few rooms. They have a party room that is reserved for us. So far I know it'll be my parents, Megan, my sister - Debbie and her girlfriend - Apryl, Debbie and Apryl's roommate - Linda and Linda's 9 year old daughter Haley, Debbie and Apryl's neighbor - Bill, plus my brother - Stan and his wife - Melody. (Oh yeah Stan and Melody finally got married in May.) The restaurant is somewhere in Quitment. Debbie, Apryl and Megan will be in one vehicle. Bill, Linda and Haley in another vehicle. Stan, Melody, my parents and I in my mom's car. That's the plan right now anyway.
