Thanksgiving Traditions at our house

You mean, other than cooking way too much food and eating way too much afterwords? Hmmm. I would say that our tradition is to make deviled eggs and eat them before the rest of dinner can get done. Also celery with cheese and peanut butter fillings. I make up huge tray and set them on the table while I finish the rest of the dinner.

That kind of goes with the other tradition; football. The guys watch football and munch on deviled eggs and celery sticks until the last egg is left on the plate, then everyone in the room dives for it. LOL Using their best football tackle techniques, they all try to get to the egg at once. Ok, maybe not that bad, but it isn't unusual for me to have to make a few more to satisfiy everyone.

I'm really Thankful for my family and the humor we share.

OK i will be right over to fight over that last egg.....we love those.  This year is gonna be a bit different.

We were all together this past weekend even though Jenn was so far away she got to see and talk to her gma and gpa with the webcam. It was a needed get together.  Otherwise, my mommy and daddy get up in the wee hours of the morning and do all the prep for the turkey and stuff...Everyone gets their favortie dish made for Thanksgiving..we eat about 2:00 and then suffer....then we watch the football games...and snack on stuff and then indulge in the pumpkin pie piled high with whipped cream.
