We started early

Well, I usually don't bring out any Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving, but being I have been moving so slow lately we decided to get a bit of a head start last night and brought up a Christmas tree for the boys to decorate. 

I didn't really know what to expect having 3 little boys help with it, but they did such a good job!!  They helped daddy put the tree together and watched him put up the lights.  Then I brought out a bunch of my old ornaments from when I was young and let them put up all of the non breakables anywhere that they wanted.  They were laughing and running around and having so much fun!! 

With all of the sickness and crabbiness that has been going on in this house for the past 2 weeks it was a welcomed change!!  It is definitely not the tree that I would have done but knowing that my boys did it and how much fun they had makes it the most beautiful tree in my eyes!! 

We bought a new tree last year after Christmas that we are going to be putting up in the living room that I am going to decorate, but the one in the playroom will be all the boys, I am not going to be doing any "improvements" to it.

Nov. 21, 2007 at 11:29 AM I think that is great. I want to do something like that with my kids. Dans mom would let the kids decorate the tree but when they were done she would take it all down and put it back up the way she wanted. I want my kids to be able to express themselves and not change it.

Nov. 21, 2007 at 5:18 PM How fun! I like the idea of having 2 trees when they are young. I am a stickler for my tree decor, but I want him to have fun too! Glad you all got to have some fun!

Wow that is great glad to here you guys had such a nice time decorating for Christmas. I am hoping to do the same with my girls I already bought the decorations just need to get my tree.
