What to do or what I did do

My daughter received a letter from her girlfriend yesterday and came out and said Mom what do I do Lexy is going to run away from home? Now to tell you a little about this girl which I don't know much really except that she has been in foster care most of her young life, she is 14. Her foster parents adopted her and she now lives in another town. I am really worried about this girl she said that her and two other friends are going to runaway to Kentucky, why I am not sure she didn't say in her letter. She ask my daughter to send her money so we have time before she actually runs away. I called the runaway hot line and they really didn't help me out much. I don't know nor does my daughter her phone number we just have her address. Don't know her foster parents name Lexy still has her birth name. I am really concerned for this girl. I had my daughter write back to her right away and tell him not to runaway and had her put the hotline number in the letter, I am praying she doesn't go through with this. Anyone have any suggestions on what else I could do?

Nov. 21, 2007 at 2:09 PM How far away is the town. Is there anyway that you two could drive over there and talk to her or her foster parents? That is all I can think of to do. Sorry I am not more helpful.

Nov. 21, 2007 at 2:10 PM have you tried looking her up on line through my space..maybe there you can find more information about her like the name of her foster parents or call the police and give them the address and tell them what you know and if they could please help by contacting the foster parents to call you..GOOD LUCK...
