I received total hell over this incident in another group..... well, I WAS RIGHT!!!!!

WOW!!!! I think someone owes you a HUGE apology. Oh, and I think *someone* owes *someone* else a huge apology for slamming *someone* on their page!
She's just a nut, completely and totally! What I posted the other day? Well, TWO people have posted exact duplicates of stuff I recently posted, but hmmmm....those posts are STILL there! Hmmmmmm.....
Guess it *is* personal, huh? I'm sure she'll deny it from one end to the other, but *we* both know the truth, don't we? LOL!
As you can see the flyer came out 10/31....... it will get around,,,,, the stores will stop taking all Internet coupons because of scammers who continue to do things like this.........
I did keep a record of those who bragged of how many coupons they were cashing in and who posted the coupon in a couple groups............ I faxed in the ID's............... have a great day!!!!!!!!!!

I am an admin of Deals and Steals and we deleted this as soon as we were able to verify it was bogus, but one of other admins (Sati) did take it to Kmart, after it was rumored to be bogus, to find out if it was real or not for sure. She told them of the rumor and asked if it could be authenticated and Kmart said it was legit and took it.
Once we did find out that Kmart was wrong and it was not legit we deleted it and let all of our members know it was not a good coupon.
I am so glad you to took an oath to uphold the law (are you a police officer?)....I think we should all obey the law to the best of our ability, but we also checked into the law (for the purpose of finding out info for those memebrs who used the coupon before they knew it was not good) and those who unwittingly used the coupon cannot be held liable. It is only fraud if you knew it was fraudulant when you used it.
As for those who continued and still continue to use it (and brag about it, as you say you found), it is on them what happens now that they have been informed. But we did our best to let all of members know it was no good once we knew it was not.
Also, I dont know where you live, and I know in different areas people have had some luck with it, but where I am pretty much no stores have taken the internet coupons to begin with (and that seems to be typical from what I have heard from other CafeMom members); however, most companies will send you the actual coupons if you call and let them know your stores will not take internet coupons. It's just a nice thing to know.

I just don't want to see anyone get in to trouble for using it further........ :) We can't use internet coupons here anymore due to situations like this. We just email or call the companies as you said and most gladly send them out! It only takes a few rotten apples though to spoil for all......
And no, I was not a street officer...... dispatcher. We go to the academy and have to take training just the same............... I served for years....... I went to college............ I know my law also. There is also a lawyer across the street I ask when I have a question. He comes in handy!
