Special Note: I first posted this on My blog on Myspace 2 months ago, "The Narcissist Guide to Altruism". To My pleasant suprise many people read it and passed it along to others.
Today is Thanks Giving and it is very "APROPOS" to re-post this blog on this day although I personally feel that everyday should be Thanks Giving Day. Everyday You should always stay connected and do for Others and not let the holiday be Your "ONLY" & "EVERY" Excuse to do this. And for this reason, I'm not a big fan of Media "Holiday Feel Good" Stories.
Please Read My blog below and DO SOMETHING!
The Narcissist Guide to Altruism
Most of Us practice narcissism some-time in Our life time. Some more often. Life is so much more than You, Yourself and I. If You are into being Spiritual, Religion (not Me), Science all know the principals of Quantum Physics. They all teach that we are all connected. ***Scientist say according to our DNA 10% difference that describes where the difference is between all races. We are 90% the same in DNA.
I believe We are all connected but from time-to-time I have to remind Myself of this fact. My mom often taught Me about being considerate of people's feelings and well-being. I have for the most-part lived My life by this lesson and have taught My daughters to do the same. My behavior is not perfect, so there have been times I haven't. I'm not proud to admit this but I do maintain to keep My heart open and sincere.
I've donated to St. Judes Hospital in My mothers name because they provide "OUTSTANDING" medical services to any child who comes through Their doors. They turn away "NO ONE". St. Judes Research Hospital was founded by Danny Thomas, a 50's television star and his daughter Marlo Thomas (60's t.v. star of "That Girl") continues with her dad's work.
I witnessed My "Awesomely Beautiful, Vibrant Mother" struck down to a skeleton by stomach cancer. My mom and grandparents were always helping people all the time. If My mother knew you had a problem, she would do everything in her will to provide a solution to the problem and then she would go into action (not just talk-the-talk). I love what St. Jude is doing. Especially, when children are the recipient. I personally think children are far more intelligent than adults. We corrupt their souls, spirits and life with our complex in-securities. I have listed other organizations who are spectacular also in My blog.
If You're living by the "Laws of Narcissism", please do something meaningful for "Someone Else". Remember, We're all connected. In essence, You're really doing something for Yourself. This stays in line with Your narcissistic mentality and lifestyle. Give Your money, time, services and tell someone else.

www.secondharvest.org/zip_code.jsp - Food Pantries/ The Creech Community Center and Food Pantry - To find a food pantry in your area. Founder Barbara Franklin, in 2000, began using coupons to buy cartloads of groceries for impoverished members of her community. Savvy shopping allowed her to get hundreds of dollars worth of groceries for less than most people pay for a single meal at a fast-food chain. "[Once] my bill was $187, but when I finished [using coupons], I paid $3.02," she says. Barbara began passing out food from the trunk of her car, but when the demand outgrew her small Kia, her church allowed her to set up in the basement. Church members also agreed to help her categorize the food, clip coupons and stock up on more groceries. "We would go into the stores every Sunday, and we would wipe out the shelves," Barbara says. They started out helping 10 families, which grew to 100 and then 1,000. Now, Barbara runs a food pantry that feeds 1,500 families a month!

http://www.miafarrow.org Darfur is Today's Capital of Human Suffering. Darfur deserves to live, and American citizens are providing it with reason to hope. Not to help, not to urge our elected officials to intervene and save innocent lives in any manner possible and needed is to condemn us on grounds of immorality. Our failure to speak out to end the on-going genocide in Darfur would place us on the wrong side of history. And that thought must seem intolerable to all of us. For the sake of our humanity, SAVE DARFUR! Professor Elie Wiesel I am a member of the human family who remembers that 800,000 human beings were massacred in Rwanda in 1994.
They could have been saved, but nobody came to their rescue. The leaders of the world knew of the perpetrators' intention and their victims' vulnerability, but they failed to respond. Everything was known, and to the shame of civilized society, hundreds of thousands of men women and children were abandoned and then slaughtered. I am writing this now because in Darfur, Sudan, families are being uprooted and starved, children tormented and murdered in the thousands, and women raped with impunity.
The world knows that the non-Arab peoples of Darfur are dying by the thousands, yet, in the eyes of the victims, the world remains indifferent to their plight.
Taken from Tues., June 5, 2007 Oprah Show and Website and Vanity Fair - Oprah calls him the reigning king of hope and just about the coolest guy on the planet. Grammy-winning rock star Bono has a new summer gig everyone should know about. In July of 2007, Bono will be Vanity Fair magazine's first-ever guest editor.
His theme of choice is Africa—a land close to his heart and to Oprah's. "All of us, Oprah and myself, you know, all of the activists who have been to Africa see it as a human rights issue," Bono says. "We tend to show pictures of just the tragedy of HIV/AIDS or extreme poverty. Africa is much more interesting than that. What we wanted with Vanity Fair was to describe Africa as an adventure. As an opportunity. Not just a burden." As guest editor, Bono also wants to show how access to common medicines can create miracles in Africa. "I mean, you can be at death's door, and with two pills a day, [you're] back at work 40 days later, which is kind of miraculous," he says.
In honor of this landmark issue, Vanity Fair will have 20 different covers shot by photographer Annie Leibovitz. Each cover will feature the famous faces who are leading the way to a brighter future for Africa. "This is kind of a visual chain letter of people talking, spreading the message from person to person to person to person to person," Annie says. "These are incredible people of our time involved in this effort to make Africa better." Oprah is honored to be featured on two of the 20 covers.
She poses with Bill and Melinda Gates on one, and with George Clooney on the other. "You have Oprah hanging out with George Clooney and not me," Bono jokes. "How does he always get the girl? Just explain that one to me." Look for the July 2007 issue of Vanity Fair on newsstands now!
How You Can Help? If you are interested in helping the people of Africa, there are many ways you can make a difference. "You should choose based upon what speaks to your heart so that it's not just a check that you're writing. That you literally are making a spiritual connection, and the spiritual connection will be felt wherever it is you're sending the money to," Oprah says.
Oprah says she knows of two great organizations. One is an organization called Women for Women International. Through Women for Women International, you can sponsor a woman in another country and help her find a better life. "They have people over wherever the country is, whether it's Ecuador or Africa or, you know, China, and they have a support system that helps those women build businesses," Oprah says.
For more information, visit Womenforwomen.org. Another organization to consider is Heifer International, a group working to end world hunger and poverty while caring for the earth. Through the organization, you can donate livestock and other items that help families provide for themselves.
Billionaire investor Warren Buffett has said he was waiting for decades to make a huge charitable donation. He said he was overjoyed as he spoke for the first time since revealing he would donate about $37 billion dollars to Bill Gates' charitable foundation.
Important Note: Prosper's Journey, Inc. have no affiliation with these non-profit entities or websites referenced above. I like to give them shout-outs because they are doing cool things benefiting many dis-advantage individuals and groups (mainly children).
I'm providing this information solely as a courtesy. You should conduct Your own independent investigation before donating to any charity or organization. Information is provided for Your reference only.
*Special Note: "My", "Me", "You", "Your",etc. are capitalized and underlined intentionally. It's not a grammatical error. I feel they should always be capitalized along with "I". I do this because I hold Myself in the highest regards and You should too! The quotetation marks are utilized to bring more emphasis.
**Scientist say according to our DNA 10% difference that describes where the difference is between all races. We are 90% the same in DNA.
Mitochondrial DNA is passed from mother to children, both male and female, unchanged and it mutates at a predictable rate; i. e., the more the genetic mutations in the DNA, the more ancient the origin of the population. Using these facts, some scientists are studying mitochondrial DNA to try to trace back the origins of the human race. Using this method, the scientists have traced the human race to one female in Africa several million years ago. Then they traced the migration patterns of her descendants as they spread across the earth.
The Real Eve is a fascinating documentary presenting a new and controversial theory of human evolution. It does what all good documentaries do, it makes you think, and it entertains at the same time. I enjoyed it very very much and anyone interested in human evolution would probably enjoy it also.
