I went out shopping today with my 9 year old daughter. We were up and out by 4:45 AM. We hit the mall, and went to Walmart first. Unbeknownst to me, one of the 2 gifts she asked Santa for was on sale (only $15 for a $45 toy). I couldn't pass it up! So she knows she's getting it, but obviously, it won't ba a Santa gift. After an hour in Walmart, and a trip to the car to load our bags, back in we went for a nice breakfast at Friendly's. From there, we hit KB Toys, Old Navy, Bath & Body works, some Christmas themed store that sells personalized stockings and ornaments, and Hallmark. We were gona a total of 4 hours, and got almost all our shopping done. There are only a few people on our list to buy for.
It was well worth an early morning, and it was a great bonding experience for Nicole and I. She's now even more excited about Christmas, since she has so many gifts she can wrap and give. I especially love that she can choose her own gifts to give!
