In my house, anyway. We set up the tree and hung the lights, while listening to Christmas carols. Tomorrow night, we're putting the babies to bed, ordering Chinese for dinner, and decorating the tree. After, we'll have hot cocoa while watching a Charlie Brown Christmas. After the girls go to bed, DH and I will watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Now all we need is some snow that sticks!

Nov. 24, 2007 at 8:43 AM We always listen to  Christmas music while we put up the tree too. Usually we put it up just a couple of days before but since Melody will be spending the holiday in Maryland ( boo hoo ) we'll be putting it up earlier this year. If Shelby could have her way we would never take it down. She already has her's up in her room. It's hard for me to keep the cat and the little hands of the children I watch off of it, so it's more of a pain than a pretty for me. But Hayden is big enough now and listens pretty well, so it may not be a problem this year. I still have that spider up in the kitchen from Halloween.  I think we'll decorate it and keep it up. That's what the kids wanna do, so why not. It pisses Geo off, but I really can't see that it's hurting anything being there. We like  Mr. Spidey. Oh and Shelby and I found a tree that I want sooo bad. The one we have my parents bought in 1990, so it's seen better days. But I still love it. Anyway, this one we want is 12 1/2 feet tall and only... are you ready for this....$420.00.  And that's with 30% off already. They Lord, no way. But it awful purdy.

Nov. 24, 2007 at 11:34 AM That is a TALL tree! Are your ceilings that high? We're putting a gate around the tree, since Maddie has discovered the joy in sitting under it, and Dylan has tried to eat it. Lol. Not gonna be the best looking thing, but it's pratical!

Nov. 25, 2007 at 10:59 AM Yeah, that's a tall one alright. Our living room ceilings are 14' so it would fit okay. I would just have to get a ladder to decorate the top. But it doesn't matter, cause it costs waaaay to much. We have a train that goes around the tree (when we bother to put it up, it's alot of work) and the kids always have to crawl under the tree to set it back on the track if it jumps. That always scares me that the tree's gonna tumble.
