White lights? Color lights? What do you do?

I put up the Christmas tree yesterday. It's all sparkly with it's white lights. There are no ornaments on it yet, but hey.... It's up and lighted! lol

For years I did colored lights on the tree and outside and anywhere else I put lights. But the older I get the more I like white lights. It's cleaner and crisper. And nice and bright.

I still have one garland that I put up on the balcony that has colored lights. It's nice and colorful and shows a little bit of whimsy. But that's enough whimsy for me anymore. I've outgrown colors I guess.... lol

So what do you do? White? Colors? None at all?

Nov. 24, 2007 at 9:31 AM We aren't decorating this year (I'm super busy with work and my son is an 18 month old tiny tornado!) but I LOVE colored lights.  I think the white ones are boring, LOL

Nov. 24, 2007 at 10:32 AM WE PUT THE OUTSIDE LIGHTS UP TWO DAYS BEFOR THANKSGIVING THERE SO PRETTY I NEED A FEW MORE TO PUT UP BUT THE TREE WONT BE UP UNTILL NEXT WEEKEND ON THE FIRST  SO WE CAN WATCH THE 25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS ON ABC FAMILY AND PUT UP THE TREE

Nov. 24, 2007 at 1:00 PM Our tree has white lights And outside we have Green lights to match the 8 Ft inflatable Grinch in the front yard!  My DH is the Grinch but not myself or the kids even though 2 are teens and the oldest is in the mIlitary.

I like white lights, too but the kids really like colored, so we usually decorate with color and use white on the tree!  ;)
