Everyone sees the annoying ads that are on here, but how many of you actually pay attention to them? Not I. At least not until a few minutes ago when one advertising 'Aquapods' water came on.
Hmmm, I thought to myself, something new that just might get my kids to drink water. So I sat there reading the feedback that others had given on this new wondrous water when a comment appeared that made me say "What the hell?!"
"Aquapods can make you popular and sexy!" Um, are we still talking about water? It sounds more like this one is trying to sell lingerie. Gimme a break with this. I know sex sells and all that rubbish, but this is CAFEMOM. This is not a billboard for Times Square. You're not running a commercial in between Desperate Housewives. Mom's aren't looking to drink a certain brand of water to make themselves or their kids "popular and sexy." (Mom's would drink something to take away the wrinkles I'm sure!)
Wouldn't this be considered just a tad bit like false advertising? If it doesn't make me sexy and my kids popular, can I lodge a compliant? Can I sue the company?!
O.k. I'm done bitching for now. This comment just hit me the wrong way and I had to get it out! Honestly! "...make you sexy and popular!" Does it now?!

LOL.....I'M LAUGHING SO HARD AT YOUR POST!!!! I went to that lady's profile, and read her posts about it. (I was ASTOUNDED that Aquapod had put that on there, I HAD to find out why). And the lady actually looks nice, and she wrote in her journal that her son took them to school (I think H.S.) and he was getting attention. So she wrote that as a joke, they took it out of context for sure. STILL, what does sexy have to do with a teenager drinking water? I didn't get that part.
Thank you for bringing this to attention. LOL

Yes, I went to her page. I couldn't remember where I had seen that ridiculous pink fuzzy hat before; Anna Nicole or Pamela Anderson?
I can't believe that Aquapods would use a comment such as that to advertise, but again. Sex sells. But who are they trying to advertise to exactly?
What does being sexy have to do with a ANYONE drinking water?! Now if it was about washing a car, I think Jessica Simpson has that one covered!
oHHH and I thought they actually wanted us moms' to buy some bottled water to make our kids sexy and popular!!!!!
And people wonder what the world is coming too! Scary thing is my 13 yr old would wanna try it if SHE thought it'd make you sexy too! LOL! How about all the teen girls drinking BAWLS energry drinks???
