My son got his first hair cut today. He did very well. We didn't really know what to expect. I thought for sure that he would be crying the whole time because he doesn't warm up to people very quickly and he does not like the doctor to examine him. He did fantastic! He didn't like the cape being placed on, but once my husband I reassured him that everything was okay, he sat there like a little angel. I think it was more traumatic for me than my son. I really miss all his curls and hope they eventually grow back. He looks like such a little man. I'd like to hear other experiences of first hair cuts.

Do you feel like you're always saying "No" to your kids? Maybe it's time to have a "Yes" day instead.

Congrats Benjamin!! My son is 4 yo and up until recently he HATED getting haircuts. I had to use candy and toys for bribes! He got his last haircut last month and I was so surprised and happy that he did not cry or throw a fit. I always had to sit on the chair myself and hold him in my lap so they could cut his hair! I haven't gotten my daughter's hair cut yet, so we'll see how she does. :)
