I believe that there is indeed a Santa Claus.
North Pole, reindeer, elves, and a workshop? No
What I believe is that God, who is my Higher Being, or who ever is up there, has given a special gene to some people or just puts a little shock wave in their heart when they see or hear someone in need. Those people are Santas.
Let me give you some examples.
A mom is at the teller at her bank and she starts crying because a check bounced and not only did she get fined for that, but also for having a negative balance. She is pleading with the teller to take them off until after Christmas because that $?? dollars was to buy a single gift for each of her kids. The Mom leaves crying harder because it is a no go.
The gentlemen in line behind her has been on the phone with his secretary trying to decide what to give his board members down to the mail boy. He hangs up on her, walks up to the teller and hands her $200 and says, deposit in that Mom's account.
A boy is standing outside of a grocery store selling individual candy bars that he got from the store for $1 and is trying to sell them for $2 to buy food for Christmas. The store manager brings the boy inside and calls the police. He leaves the office and takes a cart and goes through the store and picks out food for a few days for the boys family. He has a worker put gift wrap on a box, and makes it look like a Christmas present. He pulls the cop aside and asks if he can have an officer run the food to his house before he takes the boy home. There is a note that says, you tried without stealing the candy bars. Good Job. Santa.
There is an Angel Tree program at my middle 2 boy's school. The name is drawn and the person only gives them a school uniform, socks, and underpants, and one toy...maybe glove and hat. There was a close friend of the Principle's wife. She and her sister and brother lost both parents within the same year and they didn't know how they would handle Christmas. They picked our family and spent money on all 4 of the boys and a few things for us as a couple. A gift certificate to 2 stores. They brought it all to our house. It helped us greatly and helped them with dealing with the loss of their parents.
I can go on and on for ever.
THAT is why I believe in Santa Claus and no matter how old my kids or grandkids get, I will always say he does exist..... there is a little of him in every human being but it all depends on whether it is nourished and used or squandered and dies.
