I'm a cat person

I like cats, although I don't have one right now.

I used to be a dog person until my best friend/ neighbor had a big sloppy dog that stuck his nose in my crotch, and wouldn't rest until every inch of my expensive lotion was licked off my legs.  Ick!   He also smelled yucky, even after a bath, and my friend could no longer hang out as much because she had to let the dog out.

Cats are independent, easy, and seem to only come around when it's convenient.   If you go away for a weekend, you can just leave extra food and extra water and have a neighbor peek in once or twice.  They are usually cuddly and loveable, clean and entertaining.  What being a cat lover says about me?   I am very busy and prefer to have a pet that doesn't take a lot of upkeep, but is still loveable and part of the family.

I do have to admit though, that having a dog would make me feel safer and keep me even more active.
