maybe it is I who let this house and little people in it go amuck! maybe it's this is a busy time of year, maybe it is the fact that I'm just tired of running my a$$ off everyday for everybody, and getting a look like I have wet worms climbing out my nostrils when I say "someone clear the table and someone do the dishes"! (as in put them in the already empty dishwashing machine!) Maybe it is just plain reality smacks my brain awake thinking how it's gonna be a longggggg winter in a house with the most unpleasant little frickers, who are back to missing the bus everyday.
("yea lets go play video games while our father is out shoveling the sidewalk, because we are two healthy 14 yr old & 10 yr old! Why would we help that man do his work after he worked all day?")
So tonight at dinner after hubby ripped cords out of their computer cause once again they were fighting loudly over it AGAIN. Well, they don't need to fight now it is not only gone but also broken!
("I'm still on!" in shrill voice times a 1000!) "You are so off, or you are gonna be hurting!" "Touch me and you'll die!" )
So after tonight I explained to my older two ... "Santa might be coming but IF he come's for them, he is bringing some WHOOP A$$ along!" So here is a copy of a SANTA return list Mom left at taped to their doors tonight.
Santa's Return List....
Since we all know you've been nice at times, let's start with the naughty,
Naughty Is...
- Talking back, Looking back, Rolling Anything Back & any other body movements.
- Walking past your stuff, which will be removed every 24 hrs. Gone Forever.
- Fighting, Yelling, with any other member of this household. Tone matters.
- Getting up from the dinner table to answer phone, door, or text.
- Getting up from dinner without removing plate, silverware, napkin & CUP! Next meal you will go without whatever you left behind. No joke.
- Calling,Texting or leaving voicemail as to where you think you are going after school. 24 hr notice or the answer is NO.
- Waiting til the last minute to tell Dad or I where we need to be or go. 24 hr notice or NO.
- Leaving pee on the toilet rim/ leaving personal wrappers on the bathroom floor. I will shut & lock those bathroom doors!
- In your rooms at 9:30 pm on school nights. If not 9 pm the next night and so on.
- Missing the bus equals 2 hrs of any chore I choose. No joke!
"Pretty is as pretty does, but after awhile all looks fade, and only the memories stay." It's kinda like being NICE. Nice would be a little more help, a little less complaining, and alot more happiness to each other and us.
Love is an action as well as an emotion! How have you showed your love today to your family? Or friends?
Hey a Mom can dream....

Thanxs, just got informed at 3 today that Nikki had her choir retical TONIGHT at 7! That's 4 hr notice! And then Peters says "oh you also have to be at the ski club meeting at 7 tonite too!" but he told me at 5:30 tonight! After he went to work out at the high school with friends so I could drive in this snow storm to go get him, cause hello you are a stay at home Mom, why can't you pick me up? Think he's taking lessons from my bro,, and we all know what happened to him!
SLAP!
That was my night! And after running and dressing them all for X mas songs, we had to rush thru tree decor because the rest of the week they all have plans or will be gone!
Hubby is like we are damn slaves to these little people with all the plans and no respect.
| Man-o-man.......you are making me glad to only have one kid!!! LOL aww sweetie, Lynn is right - every family has this bs to deal with, don't feel too bad. I get overwhelmed too. Between basketball (4days); cub scouts (1 day + we are the leader, so we have to plan the meetings); PTO (I'm an officer); and any other of life's fun obstacles - sometimes we just cancel everything for a night and don't answer the phone. Sounds dumb, but it helps to return the sanity. Hope today is better for you!! Oh, and LOVE the return list!!! |
Hey Mikkib.....
Can you come over to my house?? And right now I just have one kid. A daughter who is 13....Sometimes she can act like a whole house full of 13 yr. olds....she can be somewhat lazy too!!!!!!!!!!! I have the exact same ideas you have especially the one where if its not picked up, it will be thrown out....I've done that a few times....LOL...I can see where we have alot in common....We do everything and get NOTHING in return....Very good....I enjoyed
this...Go get girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....

I hope writing this out made you relieve some of the stress...For these reasons my friend I could NOT be a Mom to a young child in today's world...A mother's job is never done and most times it is thankless by those around you - until you have to threathen them almost with bodily harm ( not really but you know what I mean )!! They all should help you out..Especially if they are making the mess..
Hang in there girl....Everyone has these issue's..If they say they don't they are living in a fairy tale world...
Hugs my friend.....Relax , take a deep breath , and I hope tomorrow (well it is tomorrow ) is a better day for you...
