Prejudice

 I read today in a journal that everybody is prejudice and if we say were not we are lying to ourselves. This was written by a Christian and so my rebuttle to her was as follows: My question to you is ARE YOU PREJUDICE?

 Websters dictionary:
PREJUDICE

1: injury or damage resulting from some judgment or action of another in disregard of one's rights; especially : detriment to one's legal rights or claims2 a (1): preconceived judgment or opinion (2): an adverse opinion or leaning formed without just grounds or before sufficient knowledge b: an instance of such judgment or opinion c: an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics

 

Doesnt Gods word say in Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
What is His will for our lives is to Mark 16:15
He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

How does preaching the word to every creature, make me a prejudice person? When I am telling people about Jesus and what he has done in my life and What Gods word has to say, its not opinion it is Fact. I am not out to hurt, or destroy anyone person, I want them to be saved so that they will not be eternally seperated from God for eternity. Thats not opinion. Thats fact. To be absence from the body is to be present with God. If you are not in Heaven you are in Hell. A place that nobody wants to go.

We as Christians need to be set apart and we are to tell people about Jesus and salvation. Gods word says that

1. Matthew 10:32
   "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.
   
2. Matthew 10:33
   But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.

How are people ever gone know about Jesus if Christians dont open up and tell people about Jesus. It doesnt say anywhere in the Bible that it is up to the Pastor, Preacher, Teachers, It is up to us, who knows Jesus.

We as Christians have idly sat by and become a Lukewarm church, too afraid of what people might think, how they might react, or to afraid to offend someone who doesnt believe. Jesus offended people with his teachings. Why do you think he was put to death by those people. Yes it was for the plan of salvation, but also because The Pharisees were always upset about what Jesus was saying.He offended many people.

Now lets address is Christmas is the only time we as Christians speak up, Thats wrong as well. We as Christians need to proclaim that everyday is a Celebration about Jesus. This is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it.  The purpose set aside from all the traditional stuff that is done, is a day that is set aside to Honor and Celebrate Jesus birthday. Easter is a day which is set aside to Celebrate and Rejoice that Jesus was nailed to the cross, and 3 days later he rose again and ascended into Heaven to be with the Father. We do this a united body.

Who cares how we look to other religions? The muslims, the atheists, the new age movement. What do we have to be sorry for? That we are sooo excited about our Lord and Savior and what to share it with you, have this sense of urgency to have you come forth and give your life, because today is the day of Salvation. There may not be tomorrrow for alot of these people, they are only promised today and even then their lives can be taken away in a moments notice. I dont agree with yelling in someones face and saying turn or burn, but I am not going to stop saying Have a blessed day, Jesus loves you or whatever else the Lord prompts me to say.

My directions and marching orders dont come from man, it comes the one who gave me Life and that is Jesus Christ. There is a world of difference between witnessing and sin. Sin is direct disobedience to Gods word, witnessing is proclaiming the Good news to every living creature

Do I think that Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Yes! do I think that I need to be saved to go to heaven and works alone wont save me? Yes. I am not going to apologize for my beliefs nor am I gonna quiet my children when they express theirs.

I am out to do no harm to anybody, my goal until the Lord takes me home is to do the work of Him of sent me. Its not prejudice, its Gods word!
