I wouldn't say they were smarter, no. They learn at a very young age to work everything electronic, but there is a downside to this. How many times have you gone to a store, restaurant, fast food place, etc. and found that the teens working there are at a loss at how to count change? If something messes up during the transaction and they have to come up with the change on their own, they either sit there with a blank face until you help them out with the amount, or they will sit there scribbling out numbers on a paper, scratching them and starting over until they can figure out the amount owed to you. It's very sad.
I think computers are really doing more harm than good in the lives of people that depend on them so heavily.
