Happy Holidays~
Dear Family and Friends,
Well, I can’t believe another year has almost come and gone – it always seems to amaze me. In case you’ve been wondering what we’ve been up to this past year, here it is…
Jordan is well on his way to teaching in or around the Washington and Portland areas this coming fall. He hopes to get an intern job soon, as our funds our depleting fast! Jordan keeps busy with his Fishing Guide business along with his hauling jobs…he does what he needs to do in providing for all of us and we appreciate this very much!
Let’s see…I’ve been keeping up with my job in the Evergreen School District working with special needs children and coaching cheer at the middle school level. I’ve enjoyed learning about the different disabilities and seeing each student’s remarkable growth year after year. I’m working on my tenth year and it’s been an exciting experience working with teens in the classroom as well as on the court! I’ve also been taking several classes outside of work in “Creative Writing” because I enjoy writing children stories and a course in “Strategies to Supporting Children with Learning Disabilities” to keep up with the daily challenges kids our facing in this fast-pace, standardized testing world they live in.
Kyle turned seventeen this past November – how fast they grow up! He’s into skateboarding with friends and hanging out with his girlfriend of almost 3 years. He name is Emma and she’s a beautiful young lady on the inside as well as the outside. Kyle’s going to school at Fort and also at the Clark County Skills Center working with small engines and is doing a FANTASTIC job. If you need your oil changed or minimal service, keep Kyle in mind, as this would be a great opportunity for him to make some cash this spring and summer.
Kaylee turned fifteen in August and looking forward to driving soon…that’s scary! Seriously, she’s probably more scared than we are – she’s always battled with anxiety, but I can’t blame her, it runs in the family – what is she to do?? Anywho, along with thinking about getting her permit, she also enjoys spending time with friends over the Internet (chatting on myspace) and her cell phone. Kaylee’s also been doing a lot of babysitting and loving it! Daniel is a sweet and curious seven year-old who Kaylee has taken care of for the past couple of years. She looks up to Kaylee and enjoys spending time with her even when Kaylee’s not babysitting her…we also enjoy having Danny around, she’s a doll! We’re hoping Kaylee’s ambition to becoming a teacher stays with her, as she’s been taking a magnet program at Hudson’s Bay since Freshman year in regards to a career in early child education.
Last, but not least, we have Keifer. Over this past year he’s been playing non-stop with other kids his age in several interaction computer games…”Habbo Hotel” has been his favorite. Keith also has had a fascination with building things and taking them apart, (he might not always get them put back together the way they came), and the fact that he’s using is creative side is a skill we don’t want to see vanish! Keith has also taken up skateboarding this year with Kyle and they both seem to be enjoying their time together.
We hope all is well with you and your families and wish you the best of holidays this year.
“We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas,
And a Happy New Year~”
“Tis the Season to be jolly”
Happy Holidays from our family to yours~
