Well as Christmas approaches I am looking more and more forward to it for several reasons.  Mostly because this is Madisan's first Christmas and I am looking forward to her opening presents (well trying) and playing with her new toys.  Also I am looking forward to spending two days with my hubby, daughter and family.  Even though I do find this time of year to be very on the go and stressful.  Since our families don't get along with one another we have no choice but to go to both places.  His parents 90 minutes away and mine are just across town.  Maybe a 10 minute drive, so of course for me it is easier and more pleasant to go to my parents.  As I look at some of my friends and family members I feel very lucky for my family.  I have a loving husband and a wondering 8 1/2 month old daughter.  Each day I am more and more thankful for them as I know I could have worse.  I hope and pray that those around me struggling get what they are looking for or get where they are looking to go.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to those that read this!!!!!!

Dec. 10, 2007 at 11:48 AM I agree, it is a very stressful time.  Be thankful that your family lives so close!  It takes an act of congress to get down to see my family in Houston.  My husband can't take off work very often so it makes it really difficult.  I just try to remember what this season is all about.
