Jingle Bells

Dashing through the snow,
In a four-door SUV.
O’er the roads we go,
To cut down a Christmas tree.

Bells jingling on our shoes,
Wind blowing through our hair.
Oh what fun it is to ride,
As we go here and there.

Jingle all the way!
Oh, what fun it is to ride,

It took us quite awhile,
As we went on for miles.
But we finally saw our tree,
When rounding mile thirty-three.

Dad got his trusty ax,
As we all ate our snacks.
Sugar cookies, candy canes,
Buttered popcorn and Cracker Jacks.

Jingle all the way!
Oh, what fun it is to ride,
In a four-door SUV – hey!!

Now the ground is white,
We’re ready to take flight.
The tree is safe on top,
But the kids begin to fight. 

We finally made it home,
We’re all too tired to groove.
We open doors and to our surprise,
The tree has been removed.

No jingle did we make!
It’s no fun now that our tree is gone,
No laughing for goodness’ sake – hey!!

We went to bed upset,
Not knowing what lay ahead.
Dreaming of our Christmas tree,
That slipped through Dad’s thick thread.

Rising early morn,
The kids awoke with glee.
Santa filled our stockings full,
And trimmed our Christmas tree.

Jingle bells! Jingle bells!
Jingle all day long!
Santa Clause has saved the day,
With him, things can’t go wrong!

Oh, what fun it is to sing,
This goofy jingle bell song!
