Opinions needed... please

Okay, so I need your guys' opinions. I have a sister named Sarah. Sarah and I were supposed to start our periods on the same day this month, but we never did. So, of course we both started taking pregnancy tests because that's the first thing you do when you skip a period, right? So, we both took four and they've came back negative. I even had one of mine done at the local hopsitals E.R. because I was having some major issues one night and decided that they should do one. Anyways, so all of our things have came back negative. Well, Sarah went to the doctor yesterday for a knee x-ray and they asked her if she could be pregnant. Well, she mentioned her late periods and they did a test and LO-AND-BEHOLD, it was positive. So, I have been wondering if she lied about the tests being negative- nobody ever saw them. She very well could have. I think she did because her hubby has made it perfectly clear ever since they had their son 2 years ago that he DID NOT want another one. She even took him to the doctor w/ her yesterday- she never makes him go w/ her... you see what I'm saying about that? I think she knew and just wanted the doctor to confirm it in front of him so he wouldn't kill her. She's due August 8, 08. Anyways, my question is this-
Could the at home tests have been that off? I mean, I need to know for my sake too because I DO NOT want another one right now and I am wondering if I should go and get checked out or something. I don't think I am though because when I was at the E.R., they did a papsmear also. I mean, they could tell if I was pregnant then, right? Help!!!!

home tetsts can be off, esp early on.. and if he REALLY did NOT want kids that bad, he;d have gotten a vasectomy. he didn't and was still having sex- so he can't have been THAT agaiunst a baby..IMO

Dec. 14, 2007 at 1:21 PM I would calmliy, quietly ask Sarah about the tests!! If they came up pos. and she lied, dont worry. If she didnt lie, and they came up neg. wait a few more days, then schedule an appt. with your dr. I wish Sarah luck with her hubby!!!!

Do you have any signs of being pregnant, like tender breasts, morning sickness, etc?  If you are not too far along in your pregnancy they cannot tell that you are pregnant by doing a pap smear.  You don't say how late you are for your period, but I'd wait another week, then take another test.  Make sure you follow the instructions implicitly, to get the best results.
