Things have Certainly changed!! In today's society, Christmas is not regarded as a Religious Holiday so much anymore. Now many places you go to the Signs say "Happy Holidays" we are trying VERY hard not to offend ppl. If you look closely at the name of the Holiday: C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S!!! The first 5 Letters spell CHRIST!! which comes from the word: "Christos" which means "the annointed one"! So why can't we say CHRISTMAS, Where did X-mas Come from?? THat is simply Crossing or X-ing out the CHRIST!!!!!!! I wish everyone who reads this MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!! Jesus was born and died for our sins!! It is NOT all about the gifts and what YOU are going t receive!! God gave us the GREATEST gift!!! Himself!

I love your post and I'll say Merry Christmas to you but I will add that in very very old history X was used to abbreviate Christ in Greek as they translated the bible so it depends on what that person means. My BIL said the other night he is not backing up anymore, our country was founded by Christians based on God and the bible so if you do not like that you should not live in our country where we celebrate Christmas and trust in God. AMEN !

i love CHRISTMAS for the very reason that it is. i do recognize and respect the beliefs of others... so i say happy holidays to encompass everybody and all that we celebrate. but for ME personally, i celebrate the birth of Christ.
