Do I need to number my posts in the correct order considering the one topic I will be talking about for the next 14 months? LMAO
Here's the first post about our cruise: http://www.cafemom.com/journals/read.php?post_id=636100
Now on to the update.
We are booked. BOOKED! Our reservations are for our February 7, 2009 Disney cruise. I made the deposit Thursday night.
We did get lucky and got the secret porthole rooms. We have two rooms. They are connecting #5024 and #5022. These are rooms with obstructed views through the windows, but we got a good price on them because they are listed as category 10s. Here's the view from the rooms.

Yes, I know the view kinda sucks. BUT it was either an inside cabin without ANY windows or these for the same exact price. The beauty of it is we are getting natural sunlight for free!
We have decided that we are not going to tell the boys about this until Christmas of 2008. I was hoping to convince dh to let us do it this Christmas but he didn't go for it. I am a little disappointed that I will have to keep this a secret for so long and also they won't be able to share my excitement. But that's okay. I guess I'll survive! Our last trip I kept a secret from May until Christmas.... This time my big mouth has to be shut for 5 extra months! A whole freaking year!
I'm worried about my mother-in-law spilling the beans. She is pretty excited about the trip as well and she has a huge mouth! lol My father-in-law said he wants "hush money." LMAO
On a Disney website I visit someone shared a pic they had found of Castway Cay. It's a satellite image and I think it's the coolest thing!
I love how you can see the deep water right at the docking area. That's where they dredged out all the sand and ocean floor to allow the boat to get close enough to let off passengers right at the island instead of them having to be tendered in my boats. Disney is just an amazing company overall.
I also found a really cool graphic of the ship that shows where everything is onboard.
Be sure and take note of where Palo is located. Because if you ever go on a Disney cruise you'll do not want to miss it! It's a fantastic restaurant for adults only. Dh and I have been discussing all week about our first trip to Palo. We are both looking forward to going back. The calamari. The delicious cocktails. The grilled sea scallops. The lobster ravioli. The Panna Cotta. And the Chocolate Souffle. My mouth is watering just thinking about the chocolate souffle.....
Then of course there are the simpler things that make Disney so special. The great room service. The fabulous shows in the theater. And towel animals, which the kids thought was the best thing.
All of these things make me want to go back that much sooner. Only 418 days to go!
