Starting new job Sept 2008

I am officially opening my consignment shop Sept 7, 2008!  This shop will not only offer like new clothing for maternity, infant, toddler, and child, but will also offer Childbirth Education classes, after hours Women support groups, Blessingways, Inner peace circles, and eventually a Circle of Life birth to earth support services.  Circle of Life Birth to Earth offers traditional midwifery care that encompasses care of all aspects of life.  Doulas, and Midwives for the birthing process, and Caregivers assisting hospice patients for the end of life process.

I have been blessed to have attended many deaths as a caregiver, and the energy it takes for a person to die is very similiar to the energy it takes for a person to be born, and thier needs to be people attending this sacred event that respects the circle of life.  I have also attended at this time 17 births, and it takes a very special person to attend births that doesn't interfere with the flow of energy that moms produce to birth thier babies in a way that is non-harmful to the baby.  It only takes a negative flow of energy from one person and it can throw off the intricate balance of energy.  All negativity needs to be removed from birth before a mom can have that balance.

Anyhow, I am very happy to be able to offer this incredible opportunity to the women of my community, and I plan on this being a huge success!

How awesome!  First, I LOVE and could live at the "Kid-to-Kid" style store out here called "Sweet Pea" so good for you on that!  And, my SIL is a Hospice nurse - and you're right about that. 

But also, you've just made me feel so much better about my three birthing experiences.  I chose a midwife this last time not for the pre-natal care, but so that I could have a good birth experience that wasn't bogged down with all the medical intervention...but it wasn't and I've been lugging around tons of guilt as a result.  Its nice to know that it wasn't just my weakness that prevented me from giving my babies the best birth possible.  And I think that maybe I can be ok with that someday.  You've been such a great encouragement to me the past few weeks.  Thanks!

Dec. 17, 2007 at 11:34 PM That sounds so awesome! I wished you were opening your business in my town, I would so be there! The circle of life idea is beautiful. It makes me want to start something similar here.
