A letter to my babies:
To Katie Mae, my precious baby girl, Happy Birthday. I never thought I would see the day that I could be able to say that I have a daughter. Thank you for your smiles, and giggles, and the way you play peek a boo in the mornings before you are even fully awake. Thank you for the way you cried when you were so little, sounding like a little lamb. I love you so very much it hurts to the depth of my soul. Thank you and God for allowing me to me so blessed as to be your mommy.
To my baby boy Noah, Happy Birthday. I was so very blessed to have you and your sister on the same day. It was as if I had been sent two angels at once. You will always be the baby boy because you are the youngest of three boys, and you will always be my baby because you are my last child. Thank you for your bashful smiles, the way you hide your face so lovingly. Thank you for that engulfing laugh that fills my ears with such bliss that I want to cry with joy. Thank you for that first cry that I heard from your tiny lungs that took an eternity to come out, that scary day in the hospital. It was the most beautiful cry I have ever heard. I love you so much it hurts to the depth of my soul. Thank you and God for allowing me the blessing of being your mommy.
To my twins, I wish a Happy Birthday and may God bless us all with many, many more. You are 1 today! What a year it has been! Thank God for all the memories we have shared!
