I woke up this morning to my son standing beside my bed with a black permanent marker in his hand. All proud of himself he says "I draw on the walls, Mommy." Dread filled me and this is what I found... (these are not small drawings by the way)

My Freezer in our Dining Room...

What do I do? The walls can be painted, but what do I do about the freezer? I already tried Magic Eraser and this is what it looks like after that...

It is still a dark blue (darker than the picture). Please all you moms out there I need your help! Is there anything else I can try? My husband is gonna flip when he comes home (I already did that for the both of us), but seriously, I so need to figure out what to do before he comes home!

Dec. 19, 2007 at 12:39 PM I'm sorry, but that is kind of funny!! Try baking soda and vinegar, see if that does anything! Oh, and try bleach.

Dec. 19, 2007 at 12:40 PM Im sorry, cause I had to laugh. My kids all went thru that phase(and still are), but lucklily not with permanent marker. Try Goof Off, they sale it at Home Depot. My son tried fixing a plate with crazy glue on my marble table and ended up gluing the whole thing to the table, the Goof Off got it off. I was amazed. Good luck!!!!

OH MAN!!!

I know nail polish remover works well on removing permanent ink from surfaces, or paint thinner.

LoL take a look at the pics on my page to see what happened when my son (and BF) got ahold of a permanent marker.

Ok, I just tryed bleach and it didn't work at all. I don't have nail polish remover or goof off, that kind of thing, so I'll have to go to the store. I'm off to try baking soda now.

Dec. 19, 2007 at 1:43 PM I think the pictures are beautiful!  I realize that won't help your husband exploding when he gets home.  I'm not sure how to get it off, but once  you do...maybe put a big chalk board or piece of paper in on his wall or that chalkboard paint and give him a place to be artistic...that will keep him off the rest of the areas.  You are right, the walls can be painted and if it doesn't come off of the freezer...perhaps make a cute skirt to go around the freezer or something.  Praying something works for you today!
