I have been teaching my son (3) to write his name. I will write his name with light dots and he will trace over it. We say each letter as we write it. This morning I sat the kids down to draw pictures for Daddys and Grandpa and Grandmas stockings. I was planning on just helping him by guiding his hand when he signed it (like I usually do). He was like, no! I can to it. I said the letters with him and he wrote his name all on his own! I'm so excited and proud!

Then on the backside of the page he continued drawing. He pulled over a chair and put the picture under a magnet on the fridge. He showed me how he had written his name again on the back and I asked him what else he had drew. He said it was Baby Jesus!

After yesterday it sure is good to know that some of what we've been teaching our children is sticking!
