Well I don't know if I mentioned it but dh had to have surgery this morning on his hand. The surgery was scheduled for 6am so we were up by 3am...left by 4am...arrived at the surgery center at 5:30am and by 6:30 he was off to surgery. The surgery altogether took about an hour to hour and a half. By 7:50am they came out and told me everything was fine. at 9am they finally let me see him. Boy was I releved. I've never been on the waiting end of surgery before and let me tell you it's not fun. I sat in the waiting room after they took him back feeling like every nerve I had was on end. I wasn't comfortable with not knowing what was going on, not being able to see him, and knowing that the first person he saw when he woke up wasn't me. I felt helpless because I couldn't do anything but sit and wait. I know it was only minor surgery but still that's someone I love being opperated on. I was nervous when they finally called me back to see him after the surgery because I didn't know what to expect. He was fine but it's putting me in a position I've never been in before. He's home now, both the boys are napping and everything is going good. Thank GOD!
