I dont know where to even start. We saw Gods hands working mightly this Christmas season! We knew that the kids were gonna be blessed by their Grandpa and Grandma in MO but we had no idea what else God had instore for us. This is by no means a braggin blog but just a blog about how faithful God is when we are faithful with what God has trusted us with. It all started back in November when Chucks was going to be laid off from his job. We already were facing financial hardship but to add insult to injury, other things were happening that we could not control and I was almost at the end of my rope. But because Gods word is truth, we still decided to make a conscious effort to do what we were called to do according to Gods word. We still tithed, we still did offerings and we even went above and beyond what we were suppose to do, not expecting anything in return. The only thing we asked was for protection for anything else happening to us! Well things kept happening, the car broke down again, we were facing shutoff, the dryer broke, our cupboards were empty and facing a very difficult situation. I cried out many times for God to come and fix this for us, But for some reason, I felt like God was just a million miles away unaware of all that was happening to us. I started to be in fear, insecure, doubt and starting on the verge on major depression, anger, hurt, unforgivness, and doubt!!!!
About a week and a half ago, while me and my husband were talking I then realized I was in so much fear that I was doing more harm, then good!! The whole time while me and Chuck were talking, I just kept repenting before God for being so fearful and asked that God would change my heart!
I let things go realizing that at this point, I had no choice but to give all this to God!! Then it all started, I dont know why, I dont know how, I do by whom, GOD OF COURSE, but blessings started flowing in everything from Gift cards, to money(THANKS TO YOU GUYS!!! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE:))))))))), a package in the mail with clothes, toys, a coat for Josh who was in need of one, to gift cards to restaurants, a vacation plan where we only need to pay 10 plus taxes, (Thanks to you guys as well), to food. Let me back up for a minute. We had all the ingredients to make cookies for the family, the mailman, the garbage man and our neighbors! A couple of Sundays before Christmas, they were taking a offering for a family in need at our church, I prayed quicky and gave our last 5 dollars to help this family out, I didnt want this family to go through what we were going through. Who knew that the family we were sowing seed into was our own! A week before finding out Chuck was being laid off, we filled up to shoe boxes full of stuff to send to children somewhere in India and Africa maybe? I dont know exactly where they were going but they were going somewhere to minister to some children. Anyways, I was looking forward to Christmas eve because I knew that my kids were gonna be blessed with gifts by their grandparents and there was gonna be lots of good food. By the time Christmas came we were blessed above and beyond what we could of ever imagined!!! I still cant put into words all what happened but it happened. Our good friends of ours were suppose to come carolling at our house and ended up with our AWESOME PASTOR AND HIS WIFE bringing the kids presents, not just a few but lots of presents, A restaurant adopted us along with our church and they blessed us! A friend of Chucks from his previous job, his mother inlaw and father in law adopted our family and bought the kids four or five presents each along with presents for us as well. By the time we were through with Christmas we were blessed so much that we were overwhelmed with gratitude, joy and som much thanksgiving. It was a very humbling experience to know that God was answering our prayers, even though it was literally at the last minute.
As I said we were blessed with money, gift cards for restaurants, walmart, clothes, shoes, toys for the kids, a vacation made possible by my Bro and Sis in law, food and much much more.
I just got a call asking if we needed a washer and dryer because they knew that our dryer went out! If that isnt just like our AWESOME GOD!
Again I dont write this to say look at me, please dont look at me, look at the one who poured HIMSELF out on us to make this a testimony of how God is soooo awesome.
When we remain faithful in the little things God is faithful with the bigger things. God didnt have to do this for us, but because we were ingrafted into the family, He did do this for us!! I am sooo thankful for a God that is faithful and patient with me, when I am not as patient with God. God does work out all things in his timing, not mine and this was an lesson learned as to how God is an on time God, He knew our hearts were to be a blessing to others and because we blessed others, He blessed us.
We serve a God is mighty in power and His word never comes back void. When he said we will reap what we sow in due season, He wasnt kidding. He reaped a harvest so great that it makes me want to go out and bless others because we were blessed so much. Even when I thought that was no way out of this situation, God made a way out.
OHH I have to add that Chuck did find a job and did start the job a week before he was scheduled to be laid off, another answer to prayer. There are alot of people out there that are unemployed and looking for work, but we are not one of them.
So to end this, I say that in all things be faithful in what you do, God may not bless you the way he blessed us, He may bless you in some way that you were not expecting him to bless you, but He does bless those who belong to Him!! I am forever grateful to you God, my family, my friends, My Pastor and my church and even the world for making this an awesome Christmas, that we will never forget. When they say that Jesus is the reason for the season, its not just mere words, Its truth, All glory and Honor goes to Jesus for making this blessing happen. We do love you Jesus and we are even more committed to your Word and the Work of the ministry!!
THANK YOU LORD JESUS! WE REJOICE AND GIVE YOU THANKS FOR GRACE AND BLESSINGS UPON OUR FAMILY!! WE LOVE YOU AND LOOK FORWARD TO SERVING YOU WITH AN EVEN MORE FERVENT HEART!!
WE LOVE YOU ALL

Praise God....we serve a mighty awesome God. He is wanting to bless us in all we do if we just remain faithful to him.
Glad you had a great Christmas.
God is so amazing. Your post was a blessing to me, just to see Our Precious Provider at work. I am so glad you and your family had a wonderfully blessed Christmas.

Praise God! Your post made me realize I was so depressed over christmas I stoped praying!! Stopped being thankful, stopped talking to HIm. I was so self absorbed, I didn't see the bigger picture, who's true holiday it is and how thankful I should have been. Thank you for your miracle and sharing it, it put things back into perspective for me. God Bless you.

First, I just want to say that you post in no way sounded like you were bragging. You were, but not about selfish things, about the wonderful things that OUR GOD did for you!
All I can say is Praise God, for He is so mighty in His Love for us. We were blessed this season as well. A wonderful group of people from our church adopted us & bought us a car, among other things. God is great! Thank you for sharing your miracle story!
Your Sister In Christ,
