A Happy Proposal :-)

I would like to propose that on January 1st, no CafeMom member will post or respond to posts with anything mean, hateful, snide, nasty, bashing, etc.  If an opinion is requested, respond in a kind manner.  If you stumble across unkind words, feel sorry for the mean-spirited poster and do not reply or feed into their search for a word-fight.  On this day, do not speak unkindly about anyone, whether or not they are a CafeMom member.

CafeMom has so much to offer to all of us and I appreciate it so much.  I am often saddened and confused by the meanness that seems arise in so many posts. 

Better yet, I challenge all CafeMom members to do the same in your lives outside of CafeMom as well.  If you all can refrain from the meanness and focus on being kind to everyone you encounter on January 1st, you can help make a difference.  I hope it will encourage everyone to try to approach things in a more pleasant manner. 

It's just one day, but maybe it will catch on and make this a:

             VERY HAPPY 2008!!!

I am terribly saddened and disheartened to tell you all the following:
A very large group on CafeMom deleted my post that was identical to this journal. 
They feel that this post is a complaint about CafeMom and its members.

Please understand that my intention in posting this journal is not to imply negativity about CafeMom or its members.  I love CafeMom and have found so many wonderful members on this site. 
I am just wanting everyone to focus on positive happy things for one day.
My hope is that it will rub off on many others we encounter, whether on CafeMom or not.
