I live in Western Kansas on a small ranch with my husband, 3 boys, our red and white border collie Belle (only other female on our place) 4 cats (1 inside and 3 outside) and 3 horses.  Although we live in the country, I don't really consider myself as a "country girl" at all.

I was a dental assistant for 10 years before I had my twins who are now 3.  My oldest son is now 7 soon to turn 8.  I loved working in the dental field and miss it dearly.  I now get the chance to stay at home with my children.  I do feel blessed now, but it took a long time to feel this way.  I was not used to staying home and loved my job.  I may go back to dentistry when my twins get into school, however, I'm a little spoiled now and would want summers off.  I'll probably go into substitute teaching so I can have the summers off with my boys.  Time will tell.

I like to sing, water ski, read when I have time, and I love to meet new people.  Oh, and I like to get my teeth cleaned LOL!  My best friend just receintly (becides my sister)  moved to Nebraska.  I miss her so much as we did everything together.  She just had her first baby and I've only seen them once in about 6 months!  UGH!

I'm a very down to earth, honest person and I don't judge people for anything.  Please send me a shout and I promise I'll return your message!  I so look forward to meeting new people!

Welcome! Glad to have you here. We have a black and white border collie! Now if we could get him to stop "herding" us around the house. We find ourselves all in the den because he "pulls" us all in there. lol

Jan. 1, 2008 at 12:18 PM Wow, that sounds really nice.  I think it would be so peaceful to live on a ranch.  I work for a school district as a secretary so I know what you mean by needing the summer off.  That's the main reason why I love working where I do.  I get to be off with my kids for holidays and everything.  Hey, since you used to work in the dentistry field maybe you have some tips for keeping children from being terrified of the dentist.  I have to take both my girls kicking and screaming to the dentist.
