We just got the girls a new puppy for Christmas.  She's about 3 months old and chews EVERYTHING!!  Literally, my house has never been so clean because we have to keep the floor spotless.  I've given her rawhides, toys and that does distract her from her evil ways (lol :)0 But, not for long.  Any advice would be wonderful.

Jan. 1, 2008 at 9:58 PM I have none. We rescued a puppy from the side of the road in late spring, and we had to name him Chewy. HE. EATS. EVERYTHING. Rawhide, nylon, tennis balls, my husband's pants, my kids' toys, etc. If you somehow figure out a magic solution, I'm all ears. He eats any toy we give him! He's a great dog, though.

lol. They have a spray that suposidly works but I've never tried it. I have 5 dogs outside that I've rescued from people dumping them here (outside of town). Two of them chew everything!! I have two lawnmowers that fell victim... good luck!

Most puppys chew things when theyre teething. Try the teething spray, maybe it'll at least help.

Those knotted cloth ropes work well as long as it doesn't fray so they can swallow pieces.  My dog liked stuffed animals, no hard parts.  I'd take the hard eyes out.  They will destroy and rip it to shreds, but that's what is supposed to happen.  Hopefully your dog will sit for hours trying to shred the animals.  Oh, and then he needs to learn which are his and not your kids animals.

Kong makes some pretty good rubbery stuff that would be hard to tear apart.  They are nearly indestructible.  Those are sold at lots of stores.
