I thought the day would never come!!....

I was beginning to think that our lil runt was never gonna come join us, but alas, she is FINALLY here! She was born last Saturday, December 29th (the day after her daddy's birthday!). I was in labor for 14 hours, that surprisingly flew by. When I hit 6cm, everything just went into high gear and I was complete within the hour. Unfortunately my epidural wore off and I had two long hours of trying to push an 8lb+ baby out...which is a little tough for a first delivery. I had 4 cervical tears and am all sewed up, but I don't care...I would go through it every single day if I had to in order to have our little girl. She has been a WONDERFUL baby! She's not fussy, when she's awake she's very inquisitive and is always looking around...I can't wait til her eyes start to focus and she starts to see things for the first time! She ended up being born with dark blonde hair and so far her eyes are blue, which threw us off! We were expecting black hair and brown eyes..but her daddy does have green eyes and had sandy blonde hair when he was a baby, so I guess anything's possible! She is the spitting image of her daddy...same head shape, hairline, hair texture, hair color, same eyes, same nose, same mouth, same chin, same ears, even same silly monkey toes! I'm starting to wonder if she's even my baby....maybe I need to demand a maternity test! LOL! Just kidding!  I actually like that she's the mirror image of her daddy because when I look at her, I can see the wonderful man that has made me so IMMENSELY happy. I truly am a blessed woman!
